The DESnet software is obtained by contacting your software vendor who originally supplied the DK2.

If you cannot see the driver for your operating system on the the ‘Drivers’ tab above, please contact support.

Check the properties of the USB port in Device Manager and report any problems to support. If the USB device is working, download and run the diagnostic software from the ‘Diagnostic Software’ tab above and email the log file and the DESkey serial number to support.

Download the diagnostic software from the ‘Diagnostic Software’ tab above and run it on the DESnet server and any client machines that are having problems. Then email the log files and the DESkey serial number to support.

If you are using DK2 installs older than 7.21.0.37 please update both the server and clients with the latest from the ‘Drivers’ tab above. Once the server has been updated use the DK2 Network Remote Monitor and enable Connection Monitor & Enhanced timeout check. Please note only machines that are running version 6 or 7 of the DK2 software can be updated, for older versions please contact your software vendor.

There are several options available:
a) Obtain a USB device from your software vendor
b) If using a desktop pc, use an internal PCI/PCI-E parallel port card
c) If using a laptop with a PCMCIA/PC CARD socket, you can use a parallel PCMCIA card to provide hardware support
d) If using a laptop with an Expresscard socket, you can use a parallel Expresscard to provide hardware support
Please note: USB to Parallel adapters do not work as they do not provide the necessary hardware support required.
